Meet the Ripples
The Ripples is a creative student led group that will work to advertise, communicate, and promote North Hills activities and events through pictures, interviews, artwork, and creative writing.
Abbie
Abbie lives in York, PA with her mom, dad, and older sister. She is currently a 6th grader at North Hills Elementary School in Central York School District. She is very smart and is a great person to be around. Abbie takes two dance classes, musical theater and lyrical, and also plays the guitar. She is very involved at her school. She participates in Green Team, Pride Council, chorus, and of course The Ripples. When she gets older, she really wants to be in a Broadway musical. Abbie's hope is that you will check out everything she and her peers have to write because it's always great to know what your school or other schools around are doing. Abbie is very excited to share about her school with you through the Ripples website. |
Aditi
Aditi is quite clumsy and falls a lot. Especially when she is playing soccer ... at soccer practice, out at recess, or even in the middle of a game! Aditi plays soccer and also does gymnastics. Aditi's favorite subject in school is math, but she loves reading, and she has written a lot of unfinished stories. Aditi goes to North Hills Elementary, is in fifth grade, and has a brother in fourth grade. Aditi has done Envirothon for the past two years and is again hoping to do it for a third year. Aditi is now a Ripples Reporter at North Hills and is excited to write! |
Ardelle
Ardelle is so excited to be a part of the NH Ripples website. She is 11 years old. She has been in Central for 7 years now. She lives with her mom and dad. Ardelle also lives with her 3 brothers. Ardelle also has one dog and his name is Kendall. She is currently in the MAC team. Her favorite subject is math. Something Ardelle likes to do in her free time is free write and draw. Avery
Avery is one of the Ripples reporters at North Hills Elementary. She is currently in 6th grade and is part of the MAC team. Avery is also involved in School Store, Green Team, and Pride Council. She was awarded the Academic Excellence Award last fall and always tries her best. Avery was also the CFO of the Newspaper at J.A. Biztown. Avery loves to help others and has enjoyed writing since she was little. She is super excited to be a part of the Ripples and can't wait to get writing. |
Brezlyn
Do you like reading stories about people's lives, how they write, and how they manage to even live at school? Well, then you might want to read about Brezlyn! Her friends tell her on a daily basis that she's pretty sarcastic, but in a caring, loving way. Most of the time, she really focuses on her work, but when she's finished she likes to write because it's kind of a personal unwind. Last year Brezlyn was on Pride Council. They did rock painting and flag raising. Brezlyn also loves drawing and she hopes to be a writer when she grows up. She would love to write and illustrate graphic novels relating to her own life. Brezlyn hopes that people will love to hear her stories and read her writing. |
Ella
Ella is an awesome new member of the Ripples Reporters! Her favorite subject is ELA and she loves to read and write (I mean, she's part of the Ripples after all). Ella loves to play soccer and she's part of an amazing team. At home, she has a little brother. They love to play outside together, and she loves to ride her bike around the neighborhood. Ella also has a beautiful cat named Lucy. She had another pet named Pip when she was younger, but sadly, Pip passed away. Ella is part German, Irish, and Italian! She is also into drawing and art, she draws awesome pictures to give to her family members. Ella is happy to be part of the Ripples Reporters! |
Kaliann
This is Kaliann and she lives in York, PA. Kali lives with her mom, stepdad, and her step-siblings. Her teachers are Mrs. Hummel and Mrs. Wertz. Kali enjoys playing softball, which she wants to play through middle school. When Kali grows up, she wants to be an ELA teacher somewhere out of Pennsylvania, but she wants to get her degree in PA. She also likes photography and editing photos. Kali's favorite foods are pizza and tacos and her favorite movie is Jumanji 2. Kali loves writing and she is very excited to be a part of the North Hills Ripples! |
Kayla
Kayla loves to sing and dance. She is a determined and strong-willed writer. Some school activities that Kayla is in are BLT, flag raisers, and chorus. When it comes to writing, she is good with taking guidelines and making them fun but also creative. Her specialty in drawing is foxes, and Kayla can be a pretty big perfectionist at times. When you round her down to it, Kayla is a loyal and kind friend to the end. |
Landon
Landon is in 6th grade attending North Hills. He is involved in beginning band (playing the saxophone) and has been in Pride Council for his third year now. He has 5 pets, 2 cats (Cadie and Molly) and 3 dogs (Maggie, Tucker, and Gunner). His brother has 4 hermit crabs from Dewey, Delaware (no names) and he also has a fish. Landon loves playing Roblox on his computer and has a passion for soccer. He also loves to write made up stories. He hopes to someday have a book published and also hopes to become an engineer. His favorite subject in class is ELA and favorite special is gym. |
Lorelei
Lorelei is a new member of the Ripples Reporters. She enjoys reading and writing! Her favorite color is blue because she loves the way it can complement anything. She plays basketball and is on a team with her friends. Lorelei is into the Harry Potter series and finished the series in fourth grade. She has a pet dog who is very goofy. Lorelei enjoys the outdoors and hiking with her family. Lorelei can even ride a horse! Lorelei also plays trumpet in the school band and plays ukulele in her free time. Her favorite thing to do is sit down with her hot chocolate and read a good book. Lorelei is very excited to be a part of the Ripples Reporters! |
Miranda
Miranda is a photographer for The Ripples. She is in fifth grade. Last year Miranda earned the Academic Excellence Award. She likes to play on her Nintendo Switch and her iPad, but mostly the iPad. Miranda is a good student at North Hills and she shows her PRIDE. Miranda likes wolves and other mythical creatures. She also likes to listen to music and YouTube videos on her bluetooth headphones. Miranda is a YouTuber with 10 subscribers. |
Olivia St.
Olivia is part of the Ripples Reporters and has loved to write since second grade. Some of her hobbies are soccer, volleyball, and most of all, swimming. She has loved to swim since she was a baby and loves the water. She is very interested in animals. Olivia has 5 pets at home, including a dog, a cat, and 3 guinea pigs. The dog, a cavapoo, is black and white with big brown eyes and wags her tail a lot. Her name is Sofie. The cat is pretty big, which is why they call him Chubbs, but his real name is Leo. Olivia has 2 guinea pig brothers who are brown and white and named Otis and Peanut. The guinea pig who lives alone is Olivia's personal favorite. Ozzy, the all black fuzzy little guy, loves her too. Olivia will be proud to write articles for North Hills. |
Rachel
Guten tag! This is Rachel. After living in Florida for 8 years, she moved to Pennsylvania. Her favorite color is pink. She REALLY loves unicorns. Two of her favorite hobbies are singing and dancing. Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor are two of her favorites. She also loves to draw. This year Rachel is going to see snow for the first time in forever. Additionally, Rachel was born in Germany, so she definitely has seen snow, but she just doesn't remember it. She is really excited to build a snowman! This year Rachel is playing in the band for the first time in her whole life because at her old school, they didn't do band until you were in your first year of middle school. Samaury
Samaury is a person who loves to be goofy with her friends and family. She is in 6th grade and has 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Samaury's favorite thing to do would be math. She loved math ever since she was little. Samaury is involved in some things at North Hills like chorus and flag raising. Flag raising is when you go outside and raise the flag. When Samaury grows up, she wants to be a pediatrician. She wants to help kids! Samaury wanted to be a Ripples reporter because she wants to write about what's going on with our school and learn from other people and from our mistakes. |
Serenity
Serenity is a Ripples reporter in Mrs. Striebig's class. She has many interests such as coloring, drawing, writing stories, and reading chapter books. Her favorite animal is a zebra and she loves the color blue! Serenity lives with a family of 6 and has 5 sisters. She has a loving mother and father. Serenity loves when she has time to practice baton and time to spend with her best friends. She does baton, so go see her in parades! |
